Personal data

Personal data refers to information regarding the factual or personal circumstances of an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes, for example, your name, phone number, address, and all other information you provide to us during registration and when creating your customer account. Statistical data that we collect, for example, when you visit our ICX online shop and that cannot be directly linked to you personally is not included in this category. For example, these include statistics on which pages of our shop are particularly popular or how many users visit certain pages of the Medentis shop.

We set up password-protected direct access to the customer data we have stored (customer account). Here you can view information about your completed, pending, and recently shipped orders and manage your data and the newsletter. You agree to treat your personal login credentials confidentially and not to make them accessible to any unauthorized third party. We cannot accept liability for misused passwords unless we are responsible for the misuse.

Unless you log out, you will remain automatically logged in. This feature allows you to use certain parts of our services (e.g., “Customer Account”) without having to log in again each time. For security reasons, however, you will be prompted to re-enter your password if, for example, your personal information needs to be updated or you wish to place an order.

Use of Google reCAPTCHA

We use “Google reCAPTCHA” (hereinafter “reCAPTCHA”) on this website. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

The purpose of reCAPTCHA is to verify whether data entry on this website (e.g., in a contact form) is performed by a human or by an automated program. To do this, reCAPTCHA analyzes the website visitor’s behavior based on various characteristics. This analysis begins automatically as soon as the website visitor enters the website. For the analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates various pieces of information (e.g., IP address, the duration of the website visitor’s stay on the website, or mouse movements made by the user). The data collected during the analysis is forwarded to Google.

The reCAPTCHA analyses run entirely in the background. Website visitors are not notified that an analysis is taking place.

The storage and analysis of the data are based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in protecting its web offerings from abusive automated scanning and from SPAM. If consent has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TTDSG, insofar as the consent covers the storage of cookies or access to information on the user’s device (e.g., device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG. YouTube with enhanced privacy

This website embeds videos from YouTube. The operator of the site is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

We use YouTube in enhanced privacy mode. According to YouTube, this mode ensures that YouTube does not store any information about visitors to this website before they watch the video. However, the sharing of data with YouTube partners is not necessarily excluded by the enhanced privacy mode. Thus, YouTube establishes a connection to the Google DoubleClick network regardless of whether you watch a video.

As soon as you start a YouTube video on this website, a connection is established with YouTube’s servers. In doing so, the YouTube server is informed which of our pages you have visited.

If you are logged into your YouTube account, you allow YouTube to directly associate your browsing behavior with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

Furthermore, after starting a video, YouTube may store various cookies on your device or use comparable recognition technologies (e.g., device fingerprinting). In this way, YouTube can obtain information about visitors to this website. This information is used, among other things, to collect video statistics, improve user-friendliness, and prevent fraud attempts.

In some cases, additional data processing operations may be triggered after starting a YouTube video, over which we have no control. The use of YouTube is in the interest of presenting our online offerings in an appealing manner. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. For this purpose, iThemes Security collects, among other things, your IP address, the time and source of login attempts, and log data (e.g., the browser used). iThemes Security is installed locally on our servers.

iThemes Security transmits IP addresses of repeat attackers to a central iThemes database in the USA (Network Brute Force Protection) to prevent such attacks in the future. The use of iThemes Security is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in protecting its website as effectively as possible against cyberattacks. If consent has been obtained, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TTDSG, provided that the consent covers the storage of cookies or access to information on the user’s device (e.g., device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG. Consent may be revoked at any time.

Social Plugins

Social plugins from the providers listed below are used on our websites. You can recognize the plugins by the corresponding logo.

Only upon activation of the plugin is the collection of information and its transmission to the service provider triggered. We do not collect any personal data ourselves via the social plugins or through their use.

We have no influence over what data an activated plugin collects or how it is used by the provider. Currently, it must be assumed that a direct connection to the provider’s services is established and that at least the IP address and device-related information are collected and used. It is also possible that the service providers may attempt to store cookies on the device you are using. Google AdWords

Our website uses Google Conversion Tracking. If you arrived at our website via an ad placed by Google, Google AdWords will set a cookie on your computer. The conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on an ad placed by Google. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages on our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to that page. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies cannot therefore be tracked across the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted into conversion tracking. Customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users.

If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can refuse the placement of the cookie required for this—for example, by using a browser setting that generally disables the automatic placement of cookies, or by configuring your browser to block cookies from the domain “googleleadservices.com.”

Please note that you must not delete the opt-out cookies as long as you do not wish to have measurement data recorded. If you have deleted all cookies in your browser, you must set the respective opt-out cookie again.

Use of Google Remarketing

This website uses the remarketing feature provided by Google Inc. This feature is used to present interest-based advertisements to website visitors within the Google advertising network. A so-called “cookie” is stored in the website visitor’s browser, which makes it possible to recognize the visitor when they access websites that belong to Google’s advertising network. On these sites, the visitor may be shown advertisements related to content that the visitor previously viewed on websites that use Google’s remarketing feature.

According to Google, no personal data is collected during this process. If you still do not wish to use Google’s remarketing feature, you can generally disable it by adjusting the relevant settings at http://www.google.com/settings/ads. Alternatively, you can disable the use of cookies for interest-based advertising through the Advertising Network Initiative by following the instructions at http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp.
